Ashton's Stats

Praise the Lord!  I was a bit worried about Ashton's weight percentages dropping into the teens.  For the record, I dont place a huge amount of stock in these percentages but Ashton's have decreased over his lifespan and I couldnt help but kind of wander what was going on.
4 Year Stats
3 Year Stats (first paragraph of that post)

Now, let me say, he is still skinny as rail weighing in at 37 lbs but that kept him basically on the same growth curve as last year.

So, his stats are
Weight- 37 lbs  23%
Height- 42"  53%

He only went down 3% points in weight from his 4 year check up and grew 3.5" since last year which puts his % up from 38% last year to 53% this year, so a BIG jump in height!

The rest of the appt was typical and thankfully he is a healthy, active 5 year old.

Also big news for Ashton is he qualified for speech through the school district.  He has a handful of letters/ blends he still doesnt say too well and has a tiny lisp with a couple letters.  I had him evaluated last February and he barely missed the cut-off and was borderline.  They told then that since he was border line  to have him reevaluated when he turned 5.  With mom being the director of special services at the district, she wasnt going to let Ashton fall through the cracks so last Friday I took him and the evaluator said he met the cut off this time.  I know this will be a great thing for him!

So, Ashton is doing great!  He is a bundle of energy and intensity but is such a precious little boy!  Gotta love Smash!

  1. Have no fear - Queenie was called giraffe in jr. high - now she should be called porky pig....Better to be too thin when your young than to have to worry with the fat gene!
And Queenie, also, had speech in elementary school. No time like the present....the federal gov't calls this Child Find!
Have a wonderful 5th year, Ash Smash Poodin and Pash!
