First, an update. GrandpaGordie is breathing on his own and though still weak, is doing better. Don't exactly know when he will be able to come home but he has always been a fighter!
Blueberry Picking
My boys are so different.
Ashton- he is my workhorse. He loves to help and wants to be in the middle of it all. He picked a ton of blueberries.
Shepherd- He picked some blueberries but he stayed in this position for the vast majority of the time (crouched beside a basket). He LOVES fresh blueberries. He ate every bit of 50-60 blueberries in 30 minutes. He started eating one at a time then went to eating handfuls- it was really amazing and disgusting!
Hunter- didnt help. I did manage to get him to keep on an eye on Shepherd when Shepherd was ready to go inside. But even in that chore, he sent Ashton outside to tell me Shep broke a crystal candy dish (sorry GrandmaDean). Here is a picture to prove that he was, in fact, with us.
Vegetables
*** You know I watch too many VegiTales when you have to spell check Vegetables because you are spelling it Vegitables.Love fresh veggies and my grandparents have quite a nice garden--- labor intensive but really nice :)
The lower tier of the garden- notice Ashton is still helping- this time with squash.
We snapped and snapped and snapped beans... I dont know how GrandmaDean does this on her own. (This was only a 1/3 of them!!!)
Mom peeling tomatoes getting ready to can.
MISC
It really was a nice trip up to their house- never expected for GrandpaGordie's "episode" but so thankful that we could be there to help out.GrandmaDean on the phone
Had a delicious turkey... Mantis is carving it up
Ash and Shep making a "joyful noise"
GrandpaGordie- we love you so much and are faithfully praying for you (you too GrandmaDean)
Maybe we should nickname Hunter "Ralph!" And, thanks for posting the better picture of me :)
